Chapter: On the recommendation
for the traveller to make haste to return to his family when he has achieved his
purpose
984. Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, said, "Travelling is a form of punishment. It deprives a
person of his food and drink and sleep. When he fulfils the purpose of his
journey, he should hurry back to his family." [Agreed upon]
