[8]. Surah Al-Anfal [The Spoils of War]
Ayat 26. And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful.
Editor's Note: In 1947 Muslim of subcontinent Indo-Pak were weak in the land, and afraid to be diminish by British and Hindu but Allah (SWT) gave them Strength and land (country called Pakistan) so they will be grateful to him, (but look the Nation now the country Pakistan is very ungrateful to his Lord Allah (SWT) by not following rule of Allah (SWT) Quran and Shariah, see Hadith below also next Ayat # 27 & 28 are true picture of what nation did by Betray not Allah and His Messenger.

English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Verily, Allah elevates some people with this Quran and abases others.'' [Muslim Hadith # 817].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Anfal 26 "and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful". Only such people will be elevated who act upon the teachings of the Qur'an and abstain from what is forbidden by Allah. The Muslims of the early centuries of Islam were blessed with great honour by Allah because they loved and applied the Qur'an. Because of this meaningful attachment with the Qur'an, they made great achievements in religious and worldly spheres. Those who neglected the teachings of Islam will be disgraced and humiliated. May Allah guide and enable us to re-establish our contact with the Qur'an so that we can regain our past glory. Exaltation and humiliation mentioned in the Hadith is bound to happen in both this life and the Hereafter.
